Create New Zealand payslips with automatic PAYE, ACC earners' levy, and KiwiSaver calculations using IRD rates for the 2026-27 tax year. Built for Kiwi employers, contractors, and payroll administrators.
The 2026-27 rates are 10.5% on income up to $15,600, 17.5% from $15,601 to $53,500, 30% from $53,501 to $78,100, 33% from $78,101 to $180,000, and 39% above $180,000. These thresholds are unchanged from 2025-26.
For the 2026-27 year the ACC earners' levy is 1.75% of liable earnings up to $156,641, giving a maximum of $2,741.22. It is deducted alongside PAYE and funds cover for non-work injuries.
From 1 April 2026 the default employee KiwiSaver contribution rose to 3.5%, with the employer also contributing 3.5%. Employees can instead choose 3%, 4%, 6%, 8%, or 10% of their gross pay.
Employers are not legally required to issue a payslip in New Zealand, but they must keep accurate wage and time records and provide them to an employee on request. Most employers issue payslips as standard good practice.
