1. Who we are

Smart Sheets (payslipgenerators.com) is operated by buy-it-fastest, a South African business and the responsible party for your personal information.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your name and email address when you create an account or sign in with Google.
• Business records you save: company details, employees, clients, invoices, quotes, expenses, payroll runs and leave records you enter in your dashboard. These are stored against your account.
• Payslips: payslip calculations in the generator run in your browser. A payslip's contents reach our servers only when you email it or create a share link for it.
• Payment information: the plan you bought, the amount, the payment status and reference. We never receive your card number.
• Technical information: such as your IP address and browser type, which our hosting and sign-in providers process when you use the Service.

3. How we use your data

We use your information to provide and improve the Service, keep your account secure, process payments, deliver the emails you send from the Service, send service-related communications and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Shared documents

If you create a share link for a document, anyone who has the link can view that document without signing in. Share links expire after 30 days.

5. Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as your chosen template, and count free downloads. You can clear these through your browser settings, but doing so may sign you out or affect how the Service works.

6. Third-party services

We use third-party services to run the Service. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data, and we share only the information they need to do their job:

• Google Firebase / Google Cloud handles sign-in, stores your account and the data you save, and runs our servers.
• Netlify hosts the website.
• PayFast and PayPal process payments. You enter your card or PayPal details on their own payment pages; we receive only the payment result, the amount and your email address.
• Our email (SMTP) provider delivers the payslips and other documents you email from the Service, and our service emails to you.

Because these providers operate internationally, your information may be processed outside your country, including in South Africa and the United States.

7. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Each account's records can be read only by that signed-in account. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

We process personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You have the right to request access to your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have similar or additional rights under your local data protection law. To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer at info@buyitfastest.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa or the data protection authority in your country.

9. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may also retain data as required by law, including tax and financial record-keeping requirements. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
